This is a Technical Competence Assessment (TCA) designed to evaluate the welding skills and abilities of a potential candidate for a welding job. The TCA consists of 50 questions in total, covering various categories such as communication, physical ability, tools and equipment, safety, problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management.

Each category has two questions, with each question being scored on a scale from 1 to 10. The user selects their response for each question using a slider input. The total score for all 50 questions is calculated and displayed when the “Evaluate” button is clicked.

Based on the total score, the user will receive a comment on the candidate’s welding skills and abilities. The comment will be one of four possible outcomes: “Excellent job!”, “Great job!”, “Good job.”, or “This candidate may not have the necessary welding skills and abilities for the job.”

This tool is intended to help evaluate the technical competence of welding candidates and aid in the decision-making process for hiring managers.
