OEE

“OEE, or Overall Equipment Effectiveness, is a measure of the productivity and efficiency of a production process. It gives an overall picture of how well a process is performing by taking into account three key factors: availability, performance, and quality.

To calculate OEE, you first need to find the availability rate, which measures the time a machine is actually available for production. This is done by dividing the total planned production time by the total time the machine was down for planned and unplanned maintenance.

Next, you need to find the performance rate, which measures how well the machine is actually running when it is available. This is done by dividing the actual production output by the theoretical maximum production output.

Finally, you need to find the quality rate, which measures how much of the production output is actually good product. This is done by dividing the number of good products produced by the total production output.

Once you have these three rates, you can calculate OEE by multiplying them together. The result will be a number between 0 and 100, with 100 being the best possible score and 0 being the worst. OEE can be used to track progress and identify areas for improvement in a production process.”
