CFO Dashboard Calculator: Streamline Financial Analysis and Decision-Making

The CFO Dashboard is a tool designed to help you monitor the financial health of your organization across three key areas: Working Capital, Expenditures, and Financial Health. Each of these areas has three KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that you can monitor. To find the individual KPIs for each area, you can consult with your financial team or refer to your financial statements.

For Working Capital, the KPIs are:

  • DSO (Days Sales Outstanding): The average number of days it takes for the company to collect payment on its accounts receivable.
  • DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding): The average number of days it takes for the company to sell its inventory.
  • DPO (Days Payable Outstanding): The average number of days it takes for the company to pay its suppliers.

For Expenditures, the KPIs are:

  • CPU (Cost per Unit): The average cost to produce one unit of product.
  • OER (Operating Expense Ratio): The ratio of operating expenses to revenue.
  • CER (Capital Expenditure Ratio): The ratio of capital expenditures to revenue.

For Financial Health, the KPIs are:

  • Current Ratio: The ratio of current assets to current liabilities.
  • Debt-to-Equity Ratio: The ratio of total debt to total equity.
  • Interest Coverage Ratio: The ratio of earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) to interest expenses.

To use the tool, simply enter the values for each KPI in the corresponding input fields, and click the “Calculate” button. The tool will then provide you with the result of the calculation, along with a comment and recommended action to take based on the result. The comment and action are designed to help you understand the implications of the result and take appropriate action to improve your financial health.

In addition to the individual KPIs, the tool also provides an overall “Global Index” that calculates the average result of all the KPIs. This helps you get a more comprehensive view of your financial health across all areas, and provides guidance on where to focus your efforts to improve.

We hope you find this tool helpful in monitoring and improving the financial health of your organization!
