Supplier Performance Score |
I created a dashboard with seven different key performance indicators (KPIs) that are commonly used to evaluate supplier performance. These KPIs include delivery time, on-time delivery rate, total purchase cost, product quality, communication, responsiveness, and customer service. Each KPI has a current value and a target value, and the supplier’s performance is evaluated based on the difference between the two.
For example, let’s say you have a supplier that has a current delivery time of 5 days, but your target delivery time is 3 days. In this case, the supplier would receive a lower score for delivery time because they are not meeting the target. Similarly, if the supplier has an on-time delivery rate of 85%, but your target on-time delivery rate is 95%, they would receive a lower score for on-time delivery rate.
Once all of the KPIs have been evaluated, the overall supplier performance score is calculated based on a weighted average of the individual KPI scores. In the example code, I have assigned different weights to each KPI to reflect their relative importance. For example, delivery time and total purchase cost are weighted more heavily than the other KPIs because they are typically considered to be more important.
Based on the overall supplier performance score, a comment is displayed that provides guidance on how to improve the supplier’s performance. The comments are divided into four categories, ranging from “excellent” to “poor,” and they include specific action items that the purchasing manager can take to improve the supplier’s performance. For example, if the supplier’s performance is “good,” the comment might suggest working with the supplier to identify areas for improvement and develop an action plan. If the supplier’s performance is “poor,” the comment might suggest finding a new supplier or developing a corrective action plan with the current supplier.
Overall, this dashboard provides a quick and easy way for purchasing managers to evaluate supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
